Franklin Medical Center's lab department is managed by
Laboratory Corporation of America. With LabCorp we are able to provide
laboratory services for our patients that are admitted to the hospital, for
emergency room patients 24 hours a day and outpatient tests Monday-Friday from
8-5.
These services are provided by the professional certified
staff in a quite private environment within the the lab department at Franklin
Medical Center.

FMC Laboratory Department Accredited
As reported by the Franklin Sun, FMC Laboratory Lab Corp has been awarded an
accreditation by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of
American Pathologists (CAP), based on the results of a recent on-site
inspection. The laboratory's manager, Lisa Davis, BSMT (ASCP) and Dr. Lee
Panky, medical director, were advised of the national recognition and
congratulated for the "excellence of the services being provided." FMC
Laboratory Lab Corp is one of 6,000 CAP-accredited laboratories nationwide.
During the accreditation process, inspectors examine the laboratory's records
and quality control of procedures for the preceding two years. CAP
inspectors also examine the entire staff's qualification, equipment, facilities,
safety program and record, as well as the overall management of the laboratory.
This inspection program is designed to ensure the highest standards of care.
