Status: Full Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Responsible to: Accounting Director

Positions Directly Supervised: None

Other positions with regular contact: All hospitals employees and auditors

Job Summary:

Process and issue employee paychecks and statement of earnings and deductions.

Tasks:

  1. Maintain payroll information by collating, calculating, and entering data.
  2. Review time sheets, wages, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
  3. Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases.
  4. Keep track of leave time, such as Sick Time Off and Paid Time off.
  5. Provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters.
  6. Preparing reports that include summaries of earning, tax deductions, leave,..etc..
  7. Processing and issuing W-2 forms to employees.
  8. Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
  9. Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  10. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  11. All other duties assigned.

 

Qualifications:

Education: Highschool diploma or equivalent. College degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration is preferred.

Work Experience: Accounting experience is preferred.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required: Good communication and computer skills. Must have excellent organizational skills and be an effective time manager and multi-tasker.

Physical requirements: Must be able to speak and hear to communicate. Must have manual dexterity and visual acuity to effectively analyze documents and enter information on the computer. Must be able to file and access documents at various heights. Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.

OSHA Exposure Category:       C  –    Employees in this job classifications are not at risk for exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
