JOB SUMMARY: Provide continuous and comprehensive services necessary for the promotion of optimal mental health, prevention and treatment of psychiatric disorders and health maintenance to patients of all ages. This includes the assessment, diagnosis, and management of mental health problems and psychiatric disorders. Employee works collaboratively with other on site medical and mental health providers as well as with community PCPs and other provider personnel.

Education: Masters prepared Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry with appropriate licensure.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong customer service skills. Communicates well and supports the organization’s employees, physicians and leadership. Is able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing. Requires adaptability with regular interpersonal contact.
Decision Making Ability: Work directed by detailed and specific instructions. Unusual situations are reviewed with a supervisor. Ability to function independently with regards to most clinical decision making.
Analytical Ability: Routing, sorting, filing and appropriate documentation of clinical information. Concentrates and pays close attention to detail.
Required Physical Effort: Physical and mental stamina to endure the strain and pace of activities. Must be in good health. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is frequently required to sit; to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The incumbent is frequently required to stand; and walk. The incumbent is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Exerts 20-50 lbs of force occasionally and/or 10-25 lbs of force frequently.
